The fuel gas is directed to the base of scrubber and is evenly divided across the scrubber cross section. The scrubbing and heat recovery is done on a jet scrubbing phase, where the water from the log reservoir is pumped to the EHOX –water distribution system at the top of the scrubber and it is evenly distributed across the scrubber cross section. Because of the unique design of the water distribution system, only very low pressure is needed for water pumping, resulting low energy consumption of the scrubber.
From the base of the scrubber, the warmed water is directed back to the log reservoir.
At the top of the scrubber the flue gas goes in to the stack. The stack is designed to minimize the ‘raining’ of the stack.
